SAFE
Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy, made it his goal
to learn how to prepare medications that were safe for patients. He did not agree
with many of
the treatments and medications given to patients in the late 1700’s and
early 1800’s. As a physician he felt the medications given during that
time were more destructive to health than the disease itself. Some might argue
this is still true today. Even some herbs can cause problems if not
carefully monitored. Hahnemann was an intelligent man, way ahead of his time.
In his research he figured out that by diluting and vigorous succussion a substance
in nature it actually has more healing power without toxic effects. This is where
critics might step in and say impossible. Two hundred years of clinical study
proves the healing power of homeopathic medications. Everyone can use Homeopathic
Medicine including infants, pregnant women, children, the elderly and even animals
without fear of side affects.
Another reason why Homeopathic remedies do not have the
side effects some over the counter or prescription drugs can have is because
homeopathic remedies
work with the body, never against it. For example, If the body is secreting
too much hydrochloric acid you might go to the store and get an antacid or
be prescribed one. The word ‘anti’ means against. So in this case
the drug given should reduce the stomach’s ability to secrete acid. A
homeopathic remedy will not suppress the body’s ability to do anything,
the goal is to restore balance. The right homeopathic remedy will stimulate
your own natural defense mechanism to balance itself.
Homeopathic medications have been classified as a ‘drug’ by
the FDA since 1938. The Compliance Policy Guide allows the Homeopathic Medicines
to be marketed as OTC in part because it is non-toxic.
• Homeopathic medicines are FDA approved and available
over the counter.
• Non-habit forming or addictive
• Non toxic and without side effects
• Inexpensive
